Discovering new roads and new landscapes is one of the pillars of the PEUGEOT LANDTREK expedition Conectando las Américas. And on the first day in the Los Cabos region, in Mexico, we had an authentic sample of this, which will surely accompany us to the “end of the world”, Ushuaia.
The kick-off was at the edge of the Pacific Ocean, in the region of Migriño, South of Baja California, with the honorable presence of Igor Dumas – Vice President of the Pan-American Zone and General Director of Peugeot México – waving the initial flag of the roadshow. From there, we followed off-road sandy paths towards the mountains of the region.
This was our first crossing, and right away, we already received an amazing and beautiful landscape as a gift. In several parts, we had to use all the off-road attributes of the PEUGEOT LANDTREK, such as the 4×4 traction, rear differential lock and automatic descent control.
In addition to the sandy path, we also faced a part with many stones, with the mixed all-terrain tires and the suspension set being the protagonists. Therefore, ensuring safety during the entire 100 km route that we covered in approximately four hours.
It was also the first time that we put the Landtrek on the heights: 800 meters above sea level. And all of this only on the first day of the expedition.
It’s just the beginning!
