After exploring the mountain region on south of Baja California, Mexico, today was the day to say goodbye to Los Cabos and to head for La Paz.
Baja California is a peninsula that borders the American state of California and to continue with our trip, we need to reach the continent. For that, we will have a one-night crossing by ferry.
Today’s road was practically all along the coast, it was surprising on every turn. First we come across a stretch of asphalt and many luxury condominiums, the style we see when we travel to Miami, in the United States.
However, as we progressed, the houses became more and more distant from each other and the road lost its pavement. But our traveling companions, the new PEUGEOT LANDTREK, are always ready to face all types of terrain.
We continued traveling and the comfort, inside the new PEUGEOT LANDTREK, on the unpaved road, remained the same, as if it was on the asphalt. Fantastic!
This road that we travel today is called Ruta Cabo Este, there are dozens of deserted beaches, always with the blue color of the Gulf of California, also known as the Sea of Cortés, accompanying us.
The shallower parts of the sea were a shade of lighter blue, in the deeper ones, darker blue. And this scenario of different shades of blue of the sea, in contrast to the white sand of the beach, has accompanied us for almost 300 km of the trip. This is certainly one of the most beautiful roads in the world.
On some beaches we can see typical local stalls that served seafood. We wanted to stop, but as we had to arrive in La Paz, to catch the ferry on time, and do all the customs procedures, we thought it would be best to continue on our journey.
We are already on the ferry that will take us from La Paz to Mazatlán and we will spend the night on this sea crossing, us in our cabins and the new PEUGEOT LANDTREK, in theirs.
The images of this day will be recorded in our memories and here in our photo gallery!
