Today, our day started very early here in Mexico. To avoid heavy traffic, we woke up and headed to the historic center of San Luis Potosí to discover the architectural beauty of the city and take pictures with the new PEUGEOT LANDTREK.
The cold was intense, close to 5˚C, but the scenery made it worth.
The city is very old, founded in 1592 and is the current state capital of the same name. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the city center is truly incredible. We walked through its narrow streets, filled with old buildings, and managed to achieve our goal before it got too crowded.
Then we went to the local dealership, Eurofrance Autos, washed our travel companions and prepared them, so they would look beautiful, for the test drive with customers in the afternoon.
The test-drive was made on the city surroundings, in a very beautiful area where some luxury condominiums are being built. We used old dirt roads with a lot of stones and erosion to demonstrate the off-road capability of the new PEUGEOT LANDTREK.
On a very steep climb, we used the 4×4 with reduced traction, known as 4L (4 Low Speed), which greatly increases the force that reaches the wheels. By activating this function, the PEUGEOT LANDTREK gains much more strength, overcoming the steep ramp very easily.
This type of traction is used when greater torque is required for off-road conditions. The advantage of using this type of driving is that the driver can do everything slowly, with a lot of control and safety. It is important to remember that the speed must not exceed 40 km/h when we activate the 4×4 low traction.
Customers were impressed by the robustness and proved that the new PEUGEOT LANDTREK is adapted to resist to the conditions of any road.
At the end of the test-drive, we were invited to have a cocktail at the dealership before leaving for Guadalajara.
Expeditions are like that, many places to visit, many friends to make and many kilometers to run. All of this at the same time!
We wake up in one city and go to sleep in another. After traveling 350 km on highways and mostly at night, we arrive at the hotel here in Guadalajara.
Now we will rest because tomorrow there’s more.
