A big day! With this phrase we can summarize how was the day of the worldwide launch of the new PEUGEOT LANDTREK in South America today, in Los Cabos, México.
After 40 years of the last pickup launched in the one ton segment, Peugeot is back betting on medium pickups with a very well-designed truck and with daring goals.
Today the members of the ‘Conectando las Américas’ roadshow had their first contact with the pickup trucks that will be the protagonists of a sensational trip that will cross the Americas,.
Departing from Los Cabos in Mexico with the objective of reaching the “End of the World”, in Ushuaia, Argentina.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The first impressions of the new Peugeot Landtrek could not be better, a vehicle with a superior finish, refined interior, a lot of built-in technology and a clear concern on the design for the comfort of its occupants.
In addition, a differentiated load capacity on the segment, it is 1,200 kg of cargo. The imposing design, with a robust and modern style complement these impressions.
The expedition team is very excited to begin this adventure and tomorrow will be the “start” in the Migriños region, in the extreme south of Mexico’s Baja California. From there on, the adventure will not stop.
A trip from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic in the Gulf of Mexico, from west to east, making local presentations in several cities until reaching Veracruz, a port city, where the cars will be loaded on a car ship to South America.
THE TEAM
The team will drive three new Peugeot Landtrek, two by gasoline and one with a diesel engine. All equipped with a four-wheel drive.
The team is made up with the cameraman Felippe Santana, the photographer Haroldo Nogueira, the image editor Israel Coifman and four expedition specialists, Cacá Clauset, Detlef Altwig, Adeilton Santos and Bernardo Pacheco.
All of them used to great adventures such as: Guinness Book record crossing the Americas, numerous expeditions in the Andes, participation in major rallies such as the Dakar and Sertões, and several “off road” trips in South America.
